ORIGIN<\/strong><br \/>\nDeveloped by the Plant Resources Center from the local variety Lui Bac Ninh. Currently conserved in the National Crop Genebank.<strong>2. MAIN CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Tout and high stem with 45 &#8211; 60 cm in length<br \/>\n&#8211; Pseudostem with purplish foot. Thick leaves. Few suckers<br \/>\n&#8211; Small mother corm; many daughter corms with ovate shape, thin skin, aromatic and tasty starchy flesh.<br \/>\n&#8211; Growth duration: Summer and autumn-winter crop season: 100 &#8211; 110 days. Spring crop season: 110 &#8211; 120 days<br \/>\n&#8211; Susceptible to phytophtora and red spider<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. CULTIVATION AND USE<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Planting time: all the year round in the North (except in the mountains). Three main seasons:<br \/>\n+ Spring: planting in February &#8211; March, harvest in May \u2013 June<br \/>\n+ Summer: planting in May-June, harvest in September &#8211; October<br \/>\n+ Autumn-winter: Planting in August &#8211; September, harvest in November &#8211; December<br \/>\nCorms are used as a tuber vegetable, or for cooking some desserts.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<td class=\"news_detail_source\" colspan=\"2\" align=\"right\">TTTNTV<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
