Evaluation of agro-morphological characteristics of rice collection at An Khanh, Hoai Duc, Hanoi

Abstract

A collection of 100 rice accessions collected from different ecological regions in the country and introduced from foreign countries was used to evaluate agro-morphological characteristics in An Khanh, Hoai Duc, Hanoi in 2021. The agro-biological trais of the rice collection are diverse and abundant. Most rice varieties have a medium to long growth duration (49 samples with medium growth time and 48 samples with long days). Most of the accessions have medium-sized seeds (70 accessions had a length/width ratio of seeds from 2.1 to 3.0); the seed coat color is yellow or brown-yellow, brown, red to light purple, purple and white. The evaluation result of the collection showed that the change of eco-regions affects some agrobiological characteristics of the rice accessions collected from Northern mountainous provinces.
