Temperate fruits genetic resources are diversiform and valuable, but being erosive with times, the conservation and storage these crops, therefore, are extremely needed. Up to 2012, a germplasm collections of 42 fruit accessions belonging to 5 species (Pear:21; Peach:7; Plum:7; Kiwi:5 and Persimmon:2) have been reserved and evaluated at Temperate Crop Research and Development Center_located in Sa Pa, Lao Cai province. From the evaluation of their adaptability some promising accessions were characterized in details and tested in some locations for further study before introduction in large scale of production. |
