| 1. ORIGIN KLR5 approved for pilot production in 2008, and now cultivated in many province as: Bac Ninh, Hoa Binh, Ha Noi, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh. At present, KLR5 conserved in the National Crop Genebank.2. MAIN CHARACTERISTICS – Semi-decumbent stem, mouldy green leaves with 3-5 lobes. – Yield of shoots is 2.9 – 3.0 kg/m2/crop season. – Shoots contain 15.6 of dry matter, of which 12.5% are proteins, 13.4% fibers, 21.1% total sugars, 8.43% tannin, 131.7 mg/100 g vitamin C, and 2.6 mg/100 g nitrate. – Boiled shoots are with green colour and nice taste. – High adaptability to adverse conditions. 3.
